Census bureau paints a picture of the island’s economy

Among the reams of facts and figures that were collected by the U.S. Census Bureau throughout 2008 and organized and analyzed in its "2007 Economic Census of Island Areas: Geographic Area Series for Guam "" which was released to the public on May 22 is somewhat good news for Guam. Between 2002 and 2007 sales numbers increased by 36% growing by $1.6 billion from $4.6 billion to $6.2 billion payroll took on an additional $300 million increasing from $846 million to $1.1 billion and the number of people employed on island rose by around 9 000 . . .
