Commerce: NMI to receive close to $100M in grants

GUALO RAI Saipan - With stimulus money trickling in Commerce Secretary Michael Ada said that the Northern Mariana Islands is getting close to $100 million. "We are going to be receiving $19.4 million from [the Department of] Energy. We should be receiving $48.7 million for the stabilization fund and we are in the process of providing for many competitive grants for infrastructure for everything - from power to water to courts "" Ada told the Journal after the cabinet meeting Monday.
