On Dec. 7 2008 Manny Pacquiao defeated Oscar De La Hoya the "Golden Boy"" of boxing. Pacquiao was considered by most to be the underdog - odds 2 to 1 against and a close match was expected. Instead after eight rounds Pacquiao had scored an overwhelming victory. Who would have thought a ""local favorite"" would someday bring an Olympian - the Golden Boy of boxing no less - to his knees . . .
