Shell to sell Petroleum company to pull up stakes

Shell is proceeding to sell its assets in Guam the Northern Mariana Islands and Palau. According to Journal sources Shell is in negotiation with Honolulu-based Aloha Petroleum Ltd. for sale of its retail stations. "The closure of this transaction is imminent "" the sources said. Aloha Petroleum according to its Web site is Hawaii's ""largest independently owned gasoline diesel bio-diesel ethanol and ... lubricants distributor."" It does business as Aloha Gasoline and Island Mini-Mart convenience stores and operates close to 80 outlets in Oahu and the Big Island of Hawaii . . .
