The Dec. 22 issue of the Journal carried the 2007 crime report released by the Guam Police Department (see "Guam is a little safer - except for robbery and theft"" and Data Bank) which contained statistics for major crimes on the island including assault robbery and burglary. Some of the patterns were encouraging (homicide was down) while others were not (robbery was up). In this issue security agencies share their comments on how their observations reflect against the statistics and what developments lie in the future of security . . .
