Independent Counsel files first charges in Pacific Savings Bank failure

KOROR Palau - The Office of Independent Counsel for investigating and prosecuting responsible individuals for the failure of Palau's largest local bank Pacific Savings Bank has filed his first charges in the case. Lewis Harley a veteran banking attorney with experience in white collar fraud and banking abuses in the U.S. and Texas was retained by Palau under a special bill of Palau's Congress and signed by President Tommy E. Remengesau Jr. earlier this year. Harley has been in Palau for the past three months . . .
